Brokers are regulated
Insurance Brokers are regulated by the FSA and are members of trade bodies such as BIBA or the IIB and should conform to their standards and practices. From January 14th 2005 all insurance brokers operating in the UK must be regulated and authorised by the Financial Services Authority. You can check the current FSA status of all the directory entries with a link to the FSA website from each entires page. No new entries will be accepted unless proof of FSA authorisation is provided.
